Every ZINO project benefits from the work of our Interior Design Director and design team. Interior designers are involved from the beginning in order to see that our projects are designed from the inside out as well as from the outside in. We address the entire task from the start, anticipating and detailed resolution of specific spaces when we determine their location and relationship.

Many of our projects are interiors based. Whether they are major workplaces, hospitality design projects or specialized health/research interiors, our interior designers work closely with senior architects to produce a seamless, innovative and well-considered whole. We have the ability to design complex interior based environments which achieve operational, functional and formal innovation, delivering high quality, excellent value and exciting environments.

During our first meeting we will discuss the scope of your project, your goals and your budget. we will collect a wide range of information on your project and business, and we will discuss your brand image, target market, how each space is used, and your visions for the space. We also will obtain the most up-to-date set of architectural plans for your space from you.

We will cover the following during this initial meeting:

  • The scope of your project in detail, including all areas involved in the project, each spaces’ desired function, and your ideas and goals for each space.
  • Your tastes, preferences, likes, dislikes, style and brand
  • Image selection to hone in on needs, visions, tastes, and expectations. We will provide images to look through, but you are always welcome to bring inspiring images of your own as well.
  • Establishing a realistic budget for your space.

An overview of design style for the project will be proposed and several design solutions put forward for your consideration based on your brief. Holistic illustrations of appropriate design elements may be offered during the initial planning process.

Once our design concept for your space is ready to present, we will scheduled a meeting. You will be presented with carefully edited selections that represent the best choices for your space.

By the end of the meeting we should have a complete design concept that meets your approval. Timely approval of the design concept is crucial for maintaining accurate pricing and ensuring the availability of some design elements

This portion of the design process requires a fair amount of communication and intermediate meetings to discuss certain elements of the design may be needed. Creation of the design concept is a complex process and generally requires several weeks, depending on the scope of your project.

Our design booklet is presented as a full-colour perspective illustration s, supported by mood boards, furniture layouts, lighting arrangements and floor plans.  In this way style, scale and proportions are illustrated and a clear indication of how the space can be utilised. We will go through the design and you will be presented with materials, drawings, photos and samples for each element in the design.

Once the design has been approved and all elements are finalized we can begin executing our design.

A time-table is developed for purchasing and ordering, work to be done by trades, and final installation. This schedule will be adjusted along the way to accommodate unforeseen circumstances.

This is the fun part. Realising your design concept and seeing it come to life. This stage may require sub sections of its own depending on the size of the project. However it is impossible to say exactly how as the number of variables is almost unlimited but what is important is to plan this stage extensively before you begin by preparing and clearing the space, ordering materials in advance and having them at hand on the day as well as hiring the staff required to get the project completed on time and within budget.
